Los británicos tendrán que esperar al 21 de septiembre para poder ver Death Proof<\/strong>, y de Planet Terror<\/strong> no tienen ni noticias… calculan que en plena festividad de Halloween<\/strong> podría ser estrenada, pero sabe dios. El fiasco sigue avanzando imparable por el resto del mundo, ni sesión continua, ni orden en los estrenos, ni fechas confirmadas. Grindhouse<\/strong> está siendo uno de esos descalabros que crean escuela y, tristemente, advierten a las grandes productoras en que no deben gastar ingentes cantidades de dinero. Lo dicho, una pena para los amantes del género. O en realidad no, la serie B<\/em> es eso, cine curioso y sin pretensiones realizado con un presupuesto bajo pero que es suficiente para ofrecer entretenimiento durante poco más de 90 minutos a un grupo de personas que le gusta… no le pidamos peras al olmo, ni Death Proof<\/strong> ni Planet Terror<\/strong> son cine para todo el mundo!<\/p>\n

En fin, sin embargo, y pese al castañazo, Quentin Tarantino<\/a> sigue erre que erre con sus ideas únicas, arriesgadas y fanáticas. Vía Cinematical<\/a>, que cita a The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, podemos leer que el film de artes marciales que planea hacer Tarantino<\/strong> para disfrute del personal, es un remake<\/em> de una de las pelis que marcaron época en la era del auge del cine oriental de patadas descontroladas y violencia extrema. Come Drink With Me<\/a> (Da zui xia<\/strong>, 1966) es un film de acción de los Shaw Brothers<\/a> que cuenta como, después de que su líder sea detenido, los miembros una banda raptan al hijo del jefe de policía. Golden Swallow<\/strong>, la Golondrina Dorada<\/strong>, es enviada para liberar al chaval que parece ser su hermano, para ello contará con la ayuda de un maestro de kung-fu<\/em> venido a menos… Detalle curioso del film es que se rumorea que Jackie Chan<\/a>, con 12 años, es uno de los niños que aparece en la película! <\/p>\n

Todo apunta a que, junto a Inglorious Bastards<\/a> (2008), esta será su despedida del género revival exploitation<\/a> que está teniendo. En una entrevista concedida al diario británico The Telegraph<\/a>, Tarantino<\/strong>, además de no arrepentirse de lo realizado en Grindhouse<\/strong>, ha desvelado que luego se embarcará en un nuevo modo de cine que pretende crear, el "Southern<\/em>"… una fusión de cine esclavista americano, los famosos recolectores de algodón que poblaban las tierras del sur, y de los spaghetti westerns<\/em> de Sergio Leone<\/a>. Por lo menos resultará curioso, ¿no?<\/p>\n

Para terminar nuevos detalles de Hell Ride<\/a> (2007), el film exploitation<\/em> motero que Quentin Tarantino<\/strong> produce para que su colega Larry Bishop <\/a>pueda dirigir. El nombre nuevo que se une y cierra el grupo protagonista del reparto, según Dread Central<\/a>, es Eric Balfour<\/a>, que ha trabajado en el remake<\/em> The Texas Chainsaw Massacre <\/a>(2003) o en la famosa serie A seis metros bajo tierra<\/a>. Por lo tanto, Pistolero<\/strong> será el propio Bishop<\/strong>, The Gent<\/strong> Michael Madsen<\/a>, y Comanche<\/strong> el joven Balfour<\/strong>.
