Este a&ntilde;o he decidido apostar fuerte y me he ido a disfrutar del evento completo. Pues eso, tal cual llega uno a Sitges, se saca la acreditaci&oacute;n y hace el <em>check-in<\/em> en el hotel, es momento de ponerse a ver pel&iacute;culas y planificar otras cosillas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time<\/strong> (<em>Bumchoiwaui junjaeng<\/em>) de <strong>Jong-bin Yun<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El cine coreano suele tener una gran presencia en Sitges y este a&ntilde;o no iba a ser menos. Comenzamos pues con este potente <em>thriller<\/em> basado en una de las eras doradas de las mafias coreanas de Busan. En la d&eacute;cada de 1980 a 1990, la segunda ciudad m&aacute;s grande de Corea era una patata caliente en lo tocante a corrupci&oacute;n y  crimen organizado. Era tan salvaje el tema que el gobierno de <strong>Tae-woo Roh<\/strong> decidi&oacute; entrar a saco a por los responsables y declar&oacute; una guerra abierta contra todo aquel que no cumpliera con la ley. El film se centra en la historia de <strong>Ik-hyun Choi<\/strong> (<strong>Min-sik Choi<\/strong>), un funcionario de aduanas con una lista de contactos  m&aacute;s grande que un rollo de papel higi&eacute;nico&#8230; no hay nada como apellidarte Garc&iacute;a. Tras cruzarse debido a un alijo de droga en el camino de  <strong>Hyung-bae Choi<\/strong> (<strong>Jung-woo Ha<\/strong>), un joven jefe mafioso, el veterano <strong>Ik-huyn<\/strong> dar&aacute; un vuelco radical a su carrera y crecer&aacute; a paso de gigante en un vertiginoso y despiadado mundo en el que pese a su rocambolesca personalidad, alucinante el fulano, logra mimetizarse como si hubiera nacido para ello. El film de <strong>Jong-bin Yun<\/strong> es una demostraci&oacute;n m&aacute;s de que en Corea se hace un cine francamente bueno. Violenta, al modo m&aacute;s cl&aacute;sico del mejor Scorsese, uno alucina con la historia de <strong>Ik-hyun Choi<\/strong>, persona que enga&ntilde;ar&iacute;a al m&aacute;s pintado y que demuestra que en aquellos tiempos uno hac&iacute;a lo que pod&iacute;a con tal de beneficiarse a si mismo. Puede que resulte por momento lenta, pero es cine de mafiosos de alt&iacute;sima calidad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"centrado\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/uruloki.org\/felipeblog\/images2012-2\/20121006_namelessgangster.jpg\" alt=\"Cartel de Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time\" width=\"500\" height=\"711\" \/><br \/><em>Cartel de Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Doomsday Book<\/strong> de <strong>Jee-woon Kim<\/strong> y <strong>Pil-Sung Yim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>M&aacute;s madera coreana para este primer d&iacute;a de festival y esta vez de la mano de <strong>Jee-woon Kim<\/strong>, director de la fant&aacute;stica <strong>Encontr&eacute; al diablo<\/strong> (<em>Akmareul boatda<\/em>, 2010) o <strong>El bueno, el malo y el raro<\/strong> (<em>Joheunnom nabbeunnom isanghannom<\/em>, 2008), y <strong>Pil-Sung Yim<\/strong>. <strong>Doomsday Book<\/strong> es un compendio de tres historias centradas todas ellas en diferentes concepciones del fin del mundo. Una historia de zombis titulada <strong>A Brave New World<\/strong>, otra sobre la toma de consciencia real de un androide llamada <strong>Heavenly Creature<\/strong> y la tercera y definitiva acerca del fin del mundo debido al cl&aacute;sico, o no tanto, meteorito  que se va a estrellar contra nuestro planeta, esta titulada <strong>Happy Birthday<\/strong>. <strong>Jee-woon Kim<\/strong> y <strong>Pil-Sung Yim<\/strong> se sacan de la manga un film en cierto modo irregular pero francamente disfrutable. El factor c&oacute;mico \/sat&iacute;rico en el que se apoyan la historia de lo zombis y la del metiorito le dan al producto final un tono surrealista muy tronchante que, sin embargo, se diluye duramente en la historia del medio, demasiado existencial y filos&oacute;fica para mi gusto, aunque no exenta de mucha originalidad.
