Hoy toca postear noticias mientras programas televisivos entretienen y hacen más amena la redacción. Como se acumulan las novedades lo mejor será ponerse a tono desde ya. En \/Films han charlado con Samuel Bayer<\/a>, director de Pesadilla en Elm Street (el origen)<\/a> (A Nightmare on Elm Street<\/em>, 2010), y nos sorprendemos leyendo que el joven director ha ofrecido una negativa, por ahora, a hacerse cargo de una posible secuela del nuevo film de Freddy Krueger<\/strong>. Si bien en ShockTillYouDrop.com no es tan tajante<\/a>, habla de destinos separados pero no por ello va a dejar de adorar al personaje, da la sensación de que a Bayer<\/strong> le gusta más probar cosas nuevas y seguir su camino entrando en retos desafiantes. Dentro de la charla con ambas webs Samuel Bayer<\/a> cita el cine comiquero como su siguiente interés y, si bien en \/Films<\/strong> no acaba por citar la obra que más le atrae en estos momentos, con ShockTillYouDrop.com<\/strong> comenta que "The Boys"<\/strong> de Garth Ennis<\/strong> y Darick Robertson<\/strong>, uno de esos proyectos que llevan en activo bastante tiempo<\/a>, es el cómic que le gustaría adaptar al cine. Cuenta Bayer<\/strong> que lo que le atrae de la obra es que "en el mundo de The Boys los superhéroes son unos cabrones<\/em>". Con la buena pinta que tiene el remake de Pesadilla en Elm Street<\/a> (1984) seguro que a Bayer<\/strong> le sobrarán los nuevos proyectos. En la misma charla habla de lo cerca que estuvo el remake de \t Los viajeros de la noche<\/a> (Near Dark<\/em>, 1987) de Kathyrn Bigelow<\/a>. Comenta que no se llegó a la fase de búsqueda de reparto, pero que el guión estaba terminado y que era una actualización de la obra original. Eso si, es sincero y avisa que superar el film de Bigelow<\/strong> iba a ser algo complicado.<\/p>\n

Momento novedades. Primero hay que pasarse por THR.com para enterarnos<\/a> que The Last Voyage of the Demeter<\/a> (¿?), originalmente en manos de Robert Schwentke<\/a> y más recientemente con Marcus Nispel<\/a> como guía, puede caer ahora del lado del director austriaco Stefan Ruzowitzky<\/a>, quien está a punto de cerrar su incorporación. Para el que no lo sepa, The Last Voyage of the Demeter<\/strong> contará la historia del Demeter<\/strong>, el barco que fue desde Transilvania<\/strong> hasta Londres<\/strong> con el Conde Drácula<\/strong> en sus bodegas. El la obra de Bram Stoker<\/strong> el barco sale de su origen con la habitual tripulación y llega a su destino con un único tripulante loco y sin nadie que lo gobierne. El film fue escrito por Bragi Schut<\/a> hace una década y desde ese momento ha sido un proyecto vivo en Hollywood<\/strong>. No pinta mal.<\/p>\n

Y ahora una paranoia de esas que tanto gustan. Heat Vision de THR.com anuncia<\/a> que Tim Burton<\/a> y Timur Bekmambetov<\/a> volverán a colaborar nuevamente como productores de la adaptación al cine de "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"<\/strong>, otra de las novelas de Seth Grahame-Smith<\/strong>, el mismo de "Orgullo y prejuicio y zombis"<\/strong>. El libro ha salido a la venta hoy mismo en USA y nos cuenta como el histórico presidente de los Estados Unidos de América<\/strong> es, antes de su llegada a la Casa Blanca<\/strong>, un experto asesino de vampiros. Todo esto viene de la muerte de su madre y de su ansia por tomar venganza. Curioso. Cuenta también que Grahame-Smith<\/strong> se hará cargo del guión de film y que, por ahora, ni Burton<\/strong> no Bekmambetov<\/strong> se plantean hacerse cargo de la dirección. Pasaros por YouTube para ver el trailer del libro<\/a>… <\/p>\n

Momento rumor. En LatinoReview.com nos avisan<\/a> que Stephen Lang<\/a>, el vigoroso y rudo Coronel Miles Quaritch<\/strong> en Avatar<\/a> (2009) de James Cameron<\/a>, tiene sobre la mesa una propuesta para ser Khalar Singh<\/strong>, el villano principal, en el Conan<\/a> (2011) que ultima Marcus Nispel<\/strong>. Pues eso, por ahora una propuesta, pero nada descabellada. Y una verdadera incorporación es la de Mickey Rourke<\/a> a War of the Gods \/ Dawn of War<\/a> (2011) de Tarsem Singh<\/a>. Variety anuncia<\/a> que el actor ha firmado para interpretar al villano Rey Hiperion<\/strong>.
