Comenzamos bien la semana. Se venía barruntando tras su presentación en la Comic-Con de San Diego de este año<\/a>, el teaser<\/em> trailer de A Nightmare On Elm Street<\/a> (2010) de Samuel Bayer<\/a>, remake<\/em> de Pesadilla en Elm Street<\/a> (A Nightmare On Elm Street<\/em>, 1984) de Wes Craven<\/a>, tenía que caer si o si. Han pasado dos meses y MySpace nos lo trae para compartir en web y para poder disfrutarlo en alta definición<\/a>. Protagonizado por Jackie Earle Haley<\/a> como el killer<\/em> de tus sueños Freddy Krueger<\/strong>, otros que compartirán malos rollos serán Rooney Mara<\/a>, Kyle Gallner<\/a>, Thomas Dekker<\/a>, Kellan Lutz<\/a>, Katie Cassidy<\/a> y Connie Britton<\/a>. Me gusta ver a Clancy Brown<\/a> aplicándose en la aniquilación inicial contra el pobre de Krueger<\/strong>. Detalles a tener en muy cuenta… lo de remake<\/em> es tal cual. Probablemente dos de las secuencias que están grabadas en nuestras retinas desde aquellos años ochenta estarán presentes. Primero la sanguinolenta escena inicial con la chavala retorciéndose por el techo del dormitorio y dejando todo empapado de fluido rojo, era brutal. Segunda la no menos retorcida secuencia de la bañera con la garra de Krueger<\/strong> acercándose a la joven que toma el relajante baño, en otro tiempo interpretada por Heather Langenkamp<\/a>. Solo me falta el calco de la muerte del personaje de Johnny Depp<\/a> y tendremos un remake<\/em>, remake<\/em>… como la mitad de los proyectos cinematográficos que se hacen ahora. Ojo, el aspecto final de Freddy Krueger<\/strong> no me llega a convencer.<\/p>\n

Sigamos con las noticias del día. La gente de Punch Drunk Critics<\/a> ha tenido la curiosa oportunidad de entrevistar a Danny Trejo<\/a>. El elocuente y dicharachero actor ha desvelado, tras soltar 4 o 5 "awesome<\/em>" y recitar de pe a pa el reparto de Machete<\/a> (2010), que tras terminar el rodaje de la nueva película dirigida por Ethan Maniquis<\/a> y Robert Rodriguez<\/a> se unirá al reparto de… Predators<\/a> (2010) de Nimród Antal<\/a> y que esto se producirá en un mes más o menos. La verdad, el dato no es del todo sorprendente, Rodriguez<\/strong> cuela a Trejo<\/strong> en todos los proyectos que toca. Es de suponer que su actor fetiche nacido en Los Angeles tendrá un papel secundario del corte del que Sonny Landham<\/a> tuvo para Depredador<\/a> (Predator<\/em>, 1987). Junto a este descubrimiento Trejo<\/strong> también habla de Sin City 2<\/a> (¿?). Lo presagiado para el nuevo film comiquero basado en la obra de Frank Miller<\/strong> no es que pinte como uno espera. Tanto misterio y tanta información de corte difusa no hacen esperar nada bueno. Con la tontería en el 2010 se cumplirá un lustro del estreno de la primera película, y se dice pronto.<\/p>\n

Sigamos con un par de novedades para otro de esos remake<\/em> que nos visitarán a corto plazo. Primero una prueba de render, o eso dicen en DreadCentral.com<\/a>, de Night of the Living Dead: Origins<\/a> (¿?) de Zebediah DeSoto<\/a>. Segundo, la confirmación de que Joe Pilato<\/a>, el famoso Capitán Rhodes<\/strong> de El día de los muertos<\/a> (Day of the Dead<\/em>, 1985), ha sido contratado para ser Cooper<\/strong>, y de que Mos Def<\/a> está siendo tanteado para que sea Ben<\/strong>, en su día interpretado por Duane Jones<\/a>, luego por Tony Todd<\/a> y más adelante por Joshua DesRoches<\/a>, este último no encajaba ni con cola!<\/p>\n

Como despedida un nuevo comentario de Edward Norton<\/a> en lo tocante a su posible retorno a futuros proyectos de la factoría Marvel Studios<\/strong>. Splash Page MTV pregunta y Norton responde<\/a> que todo lo decidirá el tiempo, las agendas y lo ocupado que esté en el momento indicado. Comenta que no le gusta especular ni preocuparse sobre estas cosas, es sabedor de que si tienen que ocurrir ocurrirán. Vamos, que ni si, ni no. Sencillamente no dice nada.
