Mientras escucho la banda sonora de Drácula de Bram Stoker<\/a> (1992), compuesta por Wojciech Kilar<\/a>, me paso como es menester por la web para poder informaros de las muy interesantes noticias que se están produciendo este miércoles previo a los días fuertes de la Semana Santa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

El mundo del videojuego se ha revolucionado hoy por dos muy llamativas razones. En primer lugar la aparecida en Variety<\/a> y que afecta a uno de las franquicias más representativas de la moderna Disney<\/strong> y del mega producto Jerry Bruckheimer<\/a>. Cuenta el portal noticiero que Gore Verbinski<\/a> ha dicho no a hacerse cargo de la dirección del cuarto episodio en la por ahora trilogía de Piratas del Caribe<\/strong>. Tras rodar Piratas del Caribe: La maldición de la Perla Negra<\/a> (2003), Piratas del Caribe: El cofre del hombre muerto<\/a> (2006) y Piratas del Caribe: En el fin del mundo<\/a> (2007), crear un icónico personaje gracias a Johnny Depp<\/a> y su excelente caracterización como el Capitán Jack Sparrow<\/strong>, amén de recaudar la friolera de 2600 millones de dólares<\/strong> en todo el mundo, Verbinski<\/strong> ha dicho basta. Y dice basta porque quiere mirar hacia otros lados y centrarse, ahora si, en la atrayente Bioshock<\/a> (¿?), la adaptación del famoso videojuego que tiene entre manos Universal Pictures<\/strong> y que ha escrito John Logan<\/a>. Eso si, Verbinski<\/strong> no descarta volver a colaborar con el equipo completo que ha hecho de Piratas del Caribe<\/strong> una de las franquicias más importantes de esta década. ¿Esperarán Disney<\/strong> y Bruckheimer<\/strong> a que Verbinski<\/strong> complete Bioshock<\/strong> para no perder el tacto con los Piratas del Caribe<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

El segundo notición del mundillo del videojuego sale de las entrañas de Sony Pictures<\/strong>, otra de las major con más poder en la industria del cine. Es nuevamente Variety quien nos informa<\/a> esta vez de que Sony<\/strong> adaptará a la gran pantalla "Shadow of the Colossus"<\/strong>, uno de los mejores juegos de la historia, con una excelente disposición gráfica y pieza exclusiva para aquellos que tuvieron la popular PlayStation 2<\/strong>. Se dice incluso que llevó al límite las capacidades de la propia consola. El anuncio pone a Justin Marks<\/a> como encargado del primer guión y a Kevin Misher<\/a> como posible productor del film. Aparecido en el año 2005, "Shadow of the Colossus"<\/strong> es un videojuego de corte fantástico donde un hombre llamado Wander<\/strong> debe recorrer un gran páramo donde 16 impresionantes colosos, los Colossi<\/em>, habitan a fin de devolver la vida a una joven. Sin lugar a dudas un nuevo film a tener en cuenta, más si Sony<\/strong> está detrás de el, y donde Marks<\/strong>, el guionista de las también futuras 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo<\/a> (2011), Green Arrow: Escape From Supermax<\/a> (¿?), He-Man and the Masters of the Universe<\/a> (¿?), Suicide Squad<\/a> (¿?), Hack\/Slash<\/a> (¿?) o Voltron: Defender of the Universe<\/a> (¿?), es la primera pieza importante de este coloso.<\/p>\n

Y seguimos hablando de nuevos proyectos. Por tercera vez en el día, cuando se pone se pone, Variety anuncia<\/a> que Universal Pictures<\/strong> se ha hecho con los derechos cinematográficos de "The Umbrella Academy"<\/strong>, un más que interesante cómic editado por Dark Horse<\/strong>, en España Norma Editorial<\/strong>, obra de Gerard Way<\/strong>, el cantante de My Chemical Romance<\/strong>. Si al frente del guión está Mark Bomback<\/a>, la producción cae de la mano de Mike Richardson<\/a> para Dark Horse<\/strong> y Scott Stuber<\/a> para Universal<\/strong>, vía Stuber Prods<\/strong>. El cómic, ganador de dos premios Eisner<\/strong>, tiene una pinta fabulosa y se acaba de editar este mismo mes en esta zona del mundo. "The Umbrella Academy"<\/strong> trata sobre un estranbótico grupo de 7 superhéroes que, tras la muerte de su padre adoptivo, en realidad un extraterrestre que se hace pasar por empresario, se reúnen de nuevo para llevar adelante el plan de este… salvar el mundo.<\/p>\n

Junto a estos tres interesantes bloques de futuros films, unas cuantas noticias breves que tienen muy buena pinta. Primero la primicia de MTV Movies Blog<\/a> por la cual Michael Caine<\/a> podría estar negociando con Warner Bros.<\/strong> para formar parte del genial elenco de actores de Inception<\/a> (2010) de Christopher Nolan<\/a>. Si que sabe el señor Nolan<\/strong>… Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a>, Cillian Murphy<\/a>, Ellen Page<\/a>, Marion Cotillard<\/a> y ahora puede que Michael Caine<\/strong>. Nos espera algo muy bueno. Cuenta en Shock Till You Drop<\/a> que Rob Zombie<\/a> fue tanteado hace tiempo por David Fincher<\/a> y Kevin Eastman<\/a> para hacerse cargo de uno de los segmentos de Heavy Metal<\/a> (¿?). La idea "una fusión de animación y música"<\/em>… no se sabe nada más desde los primeros contactos. Desde FEAR.net nos indican<\/a> que Elisabeth Shue<\/a> es una la candidata para protagonizar Piranha 3-D<\/a> (2010) de Alexandre Aja<\/a>. Otro fichaje más que parece avecinarse es el sorprendente de Gary Oldman<\/a> para Iron Man 2<\/a> (2010). IESB.net ofrece el rumor<\/a> indicando que Oldman<\/strong> podría acabar interpretando a Howard Stark<\/strong>. Aunque no hay nada oficial se ha visto al actor en el set de rodaje del film… razón suficiente para lanzar las campanas al vuelo.<\/p>\n

Cuenta IESB.net<\/strong> que The Weinstein Company<\/strong> ha perdido los derechos de explotación de la obra "Sin City"<\/strong> de Frank Miller<\/strong>! La información por ahora no está muy definidamente pero es del todo positiva ya que el freno que le estaban poniendo los Weinstein a Sin City 2<\/a> (2010) era un pecado. Cuenta en este portal que un grupo de financiación independiente se ha llevado el gato al agua y, a la velocidad del rayo, pronto tendremos anuncios oficiales!
