Bueno, día para quedarse de piedra este que se termina dentro de pocas horas, por lo menos en estas latitudes. Como el tema va de breves, las noticias las iré anunciando de la mejor manera posible para que a nadie le de un patatús. En primer lugar, y todavía pendiente de confirmar oficialmente aunque parece ser que la cosa huele a cuerno quemado que tira para atrás, indicar que Es la hora de las tortas anuncia hoy<\/a> que Sony Pictures Releasing<\/strong> ha decidido no estrenar en los cines de España Punisher: War Zone<\/a> (2008) de Lexi Alexander<\/a>! La razón dada por la distribuidora es que las penosas cifras en el mercado USA auguran que costaría más ponerla en los cines de lo que se podrá recaudar. La verdad es que ni Sony<\/strong> la tiene en su página como futuro proyecto, ni el servicio Image.net<\/strong> ofrece información sobre el film. En Box Office Mojo indican<\/a> que el relanzamiento del El Castigador<\/strong> en los cines ha recaudado hasta el momento 8 míseros millones de dólares<\/strong>, cifras que suelen doblarse con el mercado internacional… ¿justifica esto que no podrán recuperar los 35 millones de dólares<\/strong> que ha costado el film? Pues parece ser que es razón suficiente para dejarnos sin ver en los cines el film protagonizado por Ray Stevenson<\/a> como el atormentado Frank Castle<\/strong> y Dominic West<\/a> como el hiperviolento y desfigurado Jigsaw<\/strong>. Cuentan en Es la hora de las tortas<\/strong> que la distribuidora comercializará en DVD<\/strong> y BluRay<\/strong> la película a partir de la primera quincena de febrero… si esta información se confirma es para cabrearse seriamente.<\/p>\n

Sigamos con la aparición de un pobre, descafeinado y extremadamente poco agraciado póster para Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li<\/a> (2009) de Andrzej Bartkowiak<\/a>. La verdad sea dicha… ¿puedes pegar fuerte y aprovechar el tirón de la franquicia para estrujar al máximo el elemento visual y te sacas de la manga esto? Pues parece ser que la gente de 20th Century Fox<\/strong> ha puesto toda la carne en el asador y el resultado es un juego de sombras, chulo, donde sobran todas las caras. Mejor todavía, ¿cuál es la razón de ver a Vega<\/strong> peleando contra un tipo cuando la que debería estar zurrándoles es la silueta de Chun-Li<\/strong> (Kristin Kreuk<\/a>)? Importante es sin embargo la aparición en los kioscos y tiendas especializadas del número 10 de la revista ScifiWorld: El magazine del cine fantástico<\/a>. Los chicos de ScifiWorld.es<\/a> nos ofrecen un nuevo magnífico ejemplar encabezado por un homenaje a Paul Naschy<\/a>, buenos artículos de recuerdo a Forrest J Ackerman<\/strong> o al clásico de la ciencia ficción La cosa<\/a> (1981), entrevistas exclusivas a Gil Kenan<\/a>, Caroline Thompson<\/a> y Jason Graves<\/strong> además de muchas más cosillas. Tras varios meses de ausencia debido a las mil y una tareas en las que estoy metido, regreso con un nuevo artículo titulado "Videojuegos en el cine: cuando los bites se transforman en celuloide"<\/strong>… espero que os guste.<\/p>\n

Rematemos el día previo regalos de reyes con unas cuantas breves. En primer lugar gracias a Oscar Salazar<\/strong> de Perú<\/strong>, quien nos indica que en flickr se han filtrado<\/a> las primeras imágenes de figuras de Hasbro<\/strong> para Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen<\/a> (2009) de Michael Bay<\/a>. Ojo, Hasbro<\/strong> se saca de la manga figuras de Superion<\/strong>, Springer<\/strong>, Jetfire<\/strong>, Optimus Prime<\/strong> o Bumblebee<\/strong>. Habrá que esperar para confirmar que todos estos, Superion<\/strong> sobre todo, aparecen en el film. Cuentan en Shock Till You Drop<\/a> que Sony Screen Gems<\/strong> está buscando definitivamente guionistas para Hostel: Part III<\/a> (2010)… el rumoreado Scott Spiegel<\/a> se quedaría fuera del proyecto y, de paso, el destino del film sería el mercado del cine en casa, nada de estreno en cines. En Variety anuncian<\/a> que Relativity Media<\/strong> ha comprado a Universal Pictures<\/strong> el sello de terror Rogue Pictures<\/strong> por unos 150 millones de dólares<\/strong>. En este 2009 podremos ver The Unborn \/ La semilla del mal<\/a> (2009) de David S. Goyer<\/a> y 25\/8<\/a> (2009) de Wes Craven<\/a>, ambos films bajo el sello Rogue Pictures<\/strong>. Para el futuro Hack\/Slash<\/a> (¿?) o Castlevania<\/a> (¿?). The Hollywood Reporter por su parte viene a confirmar<\/a> que Forest Whitaker<\/a> está en negociaciones finales para participar en The Expendables<\/a> (2010) de Sylvester Stallone<\/a>. En cuanto al rumor Sandra Bullock<\/a> pues nada de nada…<\/p>\n

 NOTA <\/strong> Cuenta en Superherohype<\/a> que The Dark Knight \/ El caballero oscuro<\/a> (2008) de Christopher Nolan<\/a> ha sido nominada a mejor película por The Producers Guild of America<\/strong> a los Producers Guild Awards<\/strong>.
