Cuentan en THR que Geoff Johns<\/strong> abandona DC Entertainment<\/strong> para entrar de lleno en la producción cinematográfica<\/a>. Johns<\/strong>, hombre al mando de la consultoría de esa división de DC<\/strong> (cine, televisión y otros medios), deja su silla a Jim Lee<\/strong> y funda Mad Ghost Productions<\/strong>, un nuevo sello que nace con un acuerdo exclusivo de producción con Warner Bros.<\/strong> Su proyecto debut Green Lantern Corps<\/strong>, que será producido por esta empresa y por lo tanto por Geoff Johns<\/strong> (que además será el guionista). El cambio tiene lugar en una semana convulsa donde Diane Nelson<\/strong>, presidenta de DC Entertainment<\/strong>, se dio el piro, en un año en el que Walter Hamada<\/strong> ha ocupado la silla de presidente de DC Films<\/strong> para buscar un nuevo rumbo en la era post-Liga de la Justicia<\/strong> (Justice League), y en un momento en el que el estudio se encuentra en medio de un fregado en el que están implicados AT&T<\/strong>, Time Warner<\/strong> y el departamento de justicia de USA (el mismo que acaba de aprobar la fusión de las compañías<\/a>). El proyecto pinta ilusionante por lo que transmite el propio Johns<\/strong><\/a>. Y ojo, porque Deadline añade un poco de leña al fuego The Batman<\/strong><\/a> y deja caer que… Matt Reeves<\/strong> está escribiendo The Batman<\/strong> bajo la idea de que Ben Affleck<\/strong> no participará en ella.<\/p>\n

Sin comerlo ni beberlo Deadline anuncia que James Wan<\/strong> y Amblin Entertainment<\/strong> unen fuerzas para hacer un remake<\/em> de Aracnofobia<\/strong> (Arachnophobia<\/em>)<\/a>, aquel simpático film de terror dirigido por Frank Marshall<\/strong> en la que unas arañas de la selva amazónica acababan dando la tabarra en un apacible pueblo de los Estados Unidos. Aquella peli contaba con Jeff Daniels<\/strong>, John Goodman<\/strong> o Julian Sands<\/strong> tratando de evitar que esa especie invasora acabara dominando la zona (y acabando con los incautos habitantes del lugar). Y hablando de terror, ya tenemos (ahora sí), el último miembro del club de los perdedores que nos faltaba por ver en forma adulta. Isaiah Mustafa<\/strong> será Mike Hanlon<\/em> en It: Chapter 2<\/strong><\/a>. El anuncio ha sido hecho por Chosen<\/strong> Jacobs, el chaval que encarnó al personaje en la exitosa It<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Y más madera. Vengadores: Infinity War<\/strong> (Avengers: Infinity War<\/em>) ha sobrepasado los 2000 millones de dólares de recaudación<\/a>. El reparto son 656 en USA, 1346 en el resto del mundo (y de estos, OJO, 370 sólo en China). Ahí lejos le quedan Avatar<\/strong> y sus 2788 millones, Titanic<\/strong> con sus 2188 y, un poco más cerca pero igualmente lejos, Star Wars: El Despertar de la Fuerza<\/strong> (Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/em>) con 68 millones más que el film de Marvel Studios<\/strong>. "His Dark Materials"<\/strong> de la BBC<\/strong> suma a su reparto a James McAvoy<\/strong> como Lord Asriel<\/em><\/a>, el personaje que encarnó Daniel Craig<\/strong> en la versión para cine de la obra Philip Pullman<\/strong>.
