El simpático Jon Favreau<\/a> se ha parado a charlar con los responsables de MTV Movies Blog<\/a> y ha dejado caer unas cuantas perlas que valen la pena recuperar. La primera de ellas, y que está causando conmoción en todos los sitios web de cine al otro lado del charco, es que ha reconocido que aceptaría con mucho gusto, y sin dudarlo, si Marvel Entertainment<\/strong> le propusiera dirigir el guión de The Avengers<\/a> (¿?) que sigue escribiendo Zak Penn<\/a>, bueno, ahora no que está en huelga. Reconoce que el proyecto es una gran idea y que funcionaría perfectamente, más ahora que tenemos a Iron Man<\/a> (2008), The Incredible Hulk<\/a> (2008), Thor<\/a> (¿2009?), Ant-Man<\/a> (¿2009?) y el Captain America<\/a> (¿2009?) en la lista de futuros proyectos cinematográficos para la factoría comiquera. Ojo, Favreau<\/strong> avisa que Marvel<\/strong> le ha comunicado que The Avengers<\/strong> solo se realizará cuando todos los personajes protagonistas que intervengan en el film cuente con un proyecto personal ya estrenado! Por lo tanto, Marvel<\/strong> quiere llegar más lejos que DC<\/strong>. Si bien DC<\/strong> ha optado por fichar nuevos rostros para protagonizar Justice League of America<\/a> (2009) de George Miller<\/a>, algo que los fans no están viendo muy bien que digamos, Marvel<\/strong> quiere contar con los rostros que hayan cosechado los éxitos individuales para dar más coherencia y consistencia al resultado final. ¿Posible? Pues es complejo de narices pero para nada descabellado. Está claro que juntar a gente como Edward Norton<\/a>, Robert Downey Jr.<\/a>, Samuel L. Jackson<\/a> y los que tengan que venir será una auténtica pasta… pero si cada film individual recupera con creces lo invertido ¿que impedimento habría para no hacerlo? Igual el resultado no es la bomba económica que esperas, pero seguro que con los ingresos previos de los otros proyectos tienes ya las arcas suficientemente llenas como para permitirte el gasto.<\/p>\n

\"Doomsday\"<\/p>\n

Ahora unas cuantas breves de impacto. Latino Review ha lanzado una perlita<\/a> que le está trayendo algunos problemas. Aseguran que Brandon Routh<\/a> lleva tiempo fuera de Superman: The Man of Steel<\/a> (¿?) y que Warner Bros. Pictures<\/strong> cuenta con que el fichado para interpretar el rol del hombre de acero en la futura Justice League of America<\/strong> sea el que retome el papel en la segunda parte de la saga. En fin, habrá que esperar mucho hasta poder confirmar este dato, arriesgado pero posible. Cuentan en Bloody Disgusting<\/a> que la adaptación al cine de la obra de H.P. Lovecraft <\/a>El que acecha en el umbral<\/em>, por ahora titulada The Thing on the Doorstep<\/strong> (¿?) y que planea dirigir Stuart Gordon<\/a>, comienza su andadura. Ya hay anuncio oficial para la audición de papeles, una primera sinopsis y fecha de inicio de rodaje, 14 de abril de este año, según un guión de Dennis Paoli<\/a>. Desde esta misma fuente<\/a> nos llega el aviso de que Neil Marshall<\/a> ha publicado en su blog de MySpace<\/a>, si en Hollywood<\/strong> no tienes uno no eres nadie, una entrada donde comenta como ha sido el rodaje Doomsday<\/a> (2007). Por lo que puedo ver, la web esa es un caos, Marshall<\/strong> escribe artículos más largos qeu los mios y, ojo, en un único post<\/a>, todo su blog es eso, resume los 12 meses<\/strong> que le ha llevado rodar y terminar Doomsday<\/strong>. Algo muy interesante es el fondo de pantalla que usa en blog<\/a>, ideal para fondo escritorio de casa… yo ya lo tengo. <\/p>\n

Para rematar otra noticia peculiar que hace preguntarse si el cine de ciencia ficción se ha quedado sin ideas. Resulta que Warner Bros. Pictures<\/strong> ha firmado con Richard Matheson<\/a> por los derechos cinematográficos que le permita hacer una secuela de I Am Legend \/ Soy leyenda<\/a> (2007) de Francis Lawrence<\/a>. La noticia sale de Shock Till You Drop<\/a>, web hermana de Superherohype<\/strong> y Coming Soon<\/strong>, y por lo tanto hay que darle cierta credibilidad. Si uno lo piensa bien, y dada la total ausencia de ideas originales en ciertos géneros, no es de extrañar que esta información sea completamente verdadera. Lo que está claro es que no por firmar y pagar por los derechos uno tiene que llevar a cabo el acuerdo. Igual Warner Bros. prefiere cubrirse las espaldas ante posibles pasos dados por otras majors o, quien sabe, igual tienen en mente que dentro de unos años Siguo siendo leyenda<\/strong> nos sorprenda en las salas de cine… ¿igual algo más fiel a la obra original? Igual el suero de esta primera parte sirve para que los "vampiros" pasen a ser realmente vampiros con conciencia de lo que hacen.<\/p>\n

Mucha atención, desde FxGuide<\/a> nos llega el primer cribado de películas que optarán al Oscar<\/strong> a los mejores efectos visuales. De los quince títulos preseleccionados<\/a> el pasado 17 de diciembre ya solo quedan siete favoritos. Estos son El ultimátum de Bourne <\/a> (2007), Sigo como dios<\/a> (2007), La brújula dorada<\/a> (2007), Soy leyenda<\/a> (2007), Piratas del Caribe 3: En el fin del mundo<\/a> (2007), 300<\/a> (2007) y Transformers<\/a> (2007). Personalmente sigo apostando por 300 por la innovación visual aportada, la escenografía del film es sencillamente espectacular. ¿Quiénes han caído del total? Pues Beowulf<\/a> (2007), Harry Potter y la Orden del Fénix<\/a> (2007), Die Hard 4.0<\/a> (2007), La búsqueda: el diario secreto<\/a> (2007), Ratatouille<\/a> (2007), Spiderman 3<\/a> (2007), Sunshine<\/a> (2007) y The Water Horse<\/a> (2007). No se si hay sorpresas, Potter<\/strong> es cada año más de lo mismo, le ocurre igual a Spiderman<\/strong>. Quizás me de pena Sunshine<\/strong> que me sorprendió bastante. Luego Beowulf<\/strong> y Ratatouille<\/strong> podemos considerar que no merecen estar en esta categoría. El próximo 16 de enero los miembros de la academia designados verán montajes de 15 minutos de cada uno de los films que han pasado la selección y seleccionarán los 3 candidatos finales que se anunciarán el 22 de enero junto al resto de categorías… voy a ir preparando la quiniela de este año.<\/p>\n
