Ayer, además de la aparición de las primeras imágenes oficiales del predalien<\/a> que veremos en Aliens Vs. Predator Requiem <\/a>(2007) de Colin<\/a> y Greg Strause<\/a>, el genial Guillermo del Toro<\/a> concedió una interesante entrevista a varias webs para hablar de su futuro cinematográfico. Como había tema para rato, he preferido postergar todas las novedades que ha ofrecido a un post hoy que puede que se complete con algo más a lo largo del día. Aprovechando una visita al set de rodaje de Hellboy 2: The Golden Army<\/a> (2008), webs como Shock Till You Drop<\/a>, MTV Blogs<\/strong> o IESB<\/strong>, pudieron charlar largo y tendido con Guillermo del Toro<\/strong> sobre varios temas: el remake<\/em> americano de El Orfanato<\/a> (2007), el atrayente proyecto At the Mountains of Madness<\/a>, el progreso de Hellboy 2: The Golden Army<\/strong> y lo que se ha quedado en el tintero pero que le hubiera gustado hacer, e igual hace…<\/p>\n

Del Toro<\/strong> está tremendamente encantado con el resultado de El Orfanato<\/strong>. Con respecto al anunciado remake<\/em> por parte de New Line Cinema<\/strong> de la opera prima de Juan Antonio Bayona<\/a>, el director mexicano recalca que su idea de remake<\/em> no es la misma que tiene el resto del mundo. Deja claro que tiene en mente un director y un guionista que, si logra que New Line<\/strong> los contrate, ofrecerán un producto final completamente nuevo y diferente a la obra de Bayona<\/strong>. El remake<\/em> que ha decidido hacer será por lo tanto una nueva propuesta. Guillermo del Toro<\/strong> habla de El Orfanato<\/strong> apuntando que es una película donde han debutado el director, el editor y buena parte del personal técnico. Para él, estos detalles son una gran ventaja a la hora de hacer un film porque las ideas e intenciones, posibles e imposibles, se plantean en todo momentos sin saber, en un principio, si podrán o no realizarse. Con poco más de 4 millones y medio de euros han logrado un film de éxito que sí, tiene errores de principiante, pero prefiere estos a los de un director con tablas… cantan más.<\/p>\n

\"Criatura<\/p>\n

De At the Mountains of Madness<\/strong>, la ansiada y deseada adaptación de la obra En las montañas de la locura<\/strong> de H.P. Lovecraft<\/a>, Guillermo del Toro<\/strong> no ha querido confirmar el dato de si será o no su próxima incursión en el cine<\/a>. Reconoce que está encantado con el hecho de que Universal Pictures<\/strong> haya adquirido los derechos sobre el film, que, mucho ojo, hasta ahora estaba en el limbo de los proyectos que nunca llegarían a existir. Del Toro<\/strong> habla que el primer paso está dado, junto a ¿Mike Richardson<\/a>? ha financiando la creación de diseños, maquetas o conceptos para la película, pero todavía hay mucho camino que recorrer. El film es duro, calificación R, muy caro y no tendrá un final feliz. Cree que el cine clásico de terror a gran escala, como fueron en su época cosas como Alien, El octavo pasajero<\/a> (1979), El resplandor<\/a> (1980) o El exorcista<\/a> (1973), tiene que volver a renacer y dejar de ser como se entiende ahora… en ese momento él estará ahí con su At the Mountains of Madness<\/strong>. Ahora mismo reconoce que el proyecto puede ser una realidad ya o dentro de muchos años. Los caminos que hay que seguir para sacar adelante una nueva apuesta personal son inescrutables. Entre Cronos<\/a> (1993) y Mimic<\/a> (1997), o entre Mimic<\/strong> y El Espinazo del Diablo<\/a> (2001), escribió Spanky: Mephisto’s Bridge<\/em>, Monte Cristo<\/em> y List of Seven<\/em>. Ninguno de ellos ha visto la luz, aunque uno de ellos la verá finalmente gracias a Miramax<\/strong> y un director debutante, pero el hecho de mantener 4 o 5 ideas activas al mismo tiempo te asegura que al menos una llegue a buen puerto.<\/p>\n

Aprovechando que está con Universal Pictures<\/strong> y que se le plantea la idea de juntar a Hellboy<\/strong> con los míticos monstruos de esta factoría como Drácula<\/strong>, el Hombre Lobo<\/strong>, Frankestein<\/strong> o la Momia<\/strong>, Del Toro<\/strong> habla de que le gustaría poder llevar al cine de nuevo la historia de Frankestein<\/strong>, basándose de nuevo en el guión escrito por Frank Darabont<\/a> e ilustrado por el maestro Bernie Wrightson<\/a> que fue vilmente maltratado por Kenneth Branagh<\/a> en su Frankenstein, de Mary Shelley<\/a> (1994). Gracias a esto considera que podría volver a realizar la película ofreciendo la visión real planteada por Darabont<\/strong>, que todo sea dicho renegó del film de Branagh<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Para rematar, y desde MTV Blogs<\/a>, Guillermo del Toro<\/strong> comenta que las primeras películas de Harry Potter<\/strong>, Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal<\/a> (2001) y Harry Potter y la cámara secreta<\/a> (2002), le llevaron a desechar cualquier posibilidad de dirigir uno de los episodios, más que nada por el tono feliz y brillante de esas dos primeras adaptaciones. De hecho le ofrecieron el tercer episodio! El giro que tomó la saga gracias a Harry Potter y el prisionero de Azkaban<\/a> (2004) de Alfonso Cuarón<\/a> ha hecho que se asemeje más a su visión de esta obra, más tétrica, espeluznante y oscura. Por ello, ahora no le importaría ser el seleccionado para llevar al cine el capítulo final, Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows<\/a> (¿?).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
