Bienvenidos a un viernes peculiar cargadito de noticias curiosas. Así de partida, y antes de entrar en materia, aquí tenéis el nuevo cartel de The Mist<\/a> (2007) de Frank Darabont<\/a>. Desde Worst Previews<\/a> nos llega una visión clara y limpia del nuevo póster de esta adaptación de una obra del genio del horror Stephen King<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\"El<\/a><\/p>\n

Tras esta nueva visión de la niebla modo King<\/strong> comentar que en la pasada Comic Con<\/a> de San Diego<\/strong> Christopher Golden<\/a> presentó una nueva novela acompañada por ilustraciones del maestro Mike Mignola<\/a>. De la obra, titulada "Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire<\/strong>", algo así como "Baltimore, o, El firme soldadito de hojalata y el vampiro<\/strong>", se ofreció un primer acercamiento de casi cuarenta páginas que se regalaba, o vendía, a los visitantes. Pues nada, hoy en Superherohype que cita a Variety<\/a>, se anuncia que New Regency<\/strong> se ha hecho con los derechos cinematográficos de la novela. La película, que será producida por John Baldecchi<\/a> y Stacy Maes<\/a>, contará con David S. Goyer<\/a> como encargado de la dirección, el guión será adaptado por los propios autores de la novela. "Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire<\/strong>" cuenta la historia del nacimiento del mal supremo en la tierra. El protagonista, Lord Henry Baltimore<\/strong>, es mordido por un murciélago en una batalla de la Primera Guerra Mundial<\/strong>. Sin saberlo desencadena la liberación de una nueva plaga que acabará destruyendo a su propia familia. Como venganza Baltimore<\/strong> decide crear un equipo para cazar y luchar contra el Rey Rojo<\/strong>, la forma corpórea de todos los males que asolan nuestro mundo. Una nueva obra de Golden<\/strong> que se lleva al cine. Pinta bien, más todavía si cuenta con Mignola<\/strong> como acompañante.<\/p>\n

Uwe Boll<\/a> sigue actuando con sabiduría asegurándose el pan para los próximos años. Primero, y desde GameDaily<\/a>, nos llega el aviso de que el doctor Boll<\/strong> ha llegado a un acuerdo con 1988 Games<\/strong> para llevar a la gran pantalla un futuro juego de la Wii<\/strong> titulado Zombie Massacre<\/strong>. Con un presupuesto de chiste, unos 6 millones de dólares<\/strong>, se rodará en Vancouver<\/strong> a lo largo del 2009<\/strong>. Lo mejor de todo es que han sido los propios creadores del juego los que han contactado con el director germano para que se encargue del proyecto! Por lo que se puede leer, las razones para contar con Boll<\/strong> son tajantes y claras: "Uwe Boll<\/strong> was the first and only name to come up because of his extensive experience in working with video game properties<\/em>". Vamos, para 1988 Games<\/strong>, herr doctor<\/em> es el primer y único nombre pensado como posible por su gran experiencia en trabajar con proyectos basados en videojuegos. ¿Qué nos espera? Zombie Massacre<\/strong> es un juego donde un grupo de militares debe llevar una cabeza nuclear a una zona infestada por muertos vivientes, así de fácil. Con esto Uwe Boll<\/strong> sigue completando el cupo basurilla para los próximos años: Sabotage 1943<\/a>, Legend: Hand of God<\/a> y ahora Zombie Massacre<\/strong>. Este futuro film será el retorno al género que descubrió la vertiente adaptadora del divino teutón, los zombis de House of the Dead<\/a> (2003). Segundo, según Bloody Disgusting<\/a>, y otro ciento de webs, Alone in the Dark II<\/a> (2008) de Michael Roesch<\/a> y Peter Sheerer<\/a> ha terminado la parte del rodaje que afecta a la fotografía principal y ahora entra en fase de post-producción.<\/p>\n

En fin, otro que tras ganarse el pan ha encontrado un nuevo film que dirigir es Russell Mulcahy<\/a>. El director de la recientemente estrenada en el mercado americano Resident Evil: Extinction<\/a> (2007) ha sido fichado para llevar al cine un proyecto titulado Zen in the Art of Slaying Vampires<\/a>. La película en cuestión estará basada en la primera novela de una serie de tres escritas por un tal Steven-Elliot Altman<\/strong>. La obra cuenta la historia de Protag<\/strong>, un joven que es convertido junto a su novia en vampiro tras ser atacados en Manhattan<\/strong>. Cuando ella muere, Protag<\/strong> opta por calmar sus instintos asesinos con técnicas Zen<\/strong>. A partir de este momento comenzará una lucha por su alma, una lucha que enfrentará a los vampiros y los maestros zen… ¿lo cualo?<\/p>\n
